ZigBee Contact Sensor (Battery Powered)
Did someone leave the garage door or bedroom window open? Is there a water leak in the basement? Easily monitor the open and close states of any sensor using Control4’s ZigBee Contact Sensor.
This easy-to-install solution provides four contacts that can be wired to a variety of sensors, such as magnetic door or window contacts and water sensors. It also provides an internal magnetic contact sensor that wirelessly integrates into Control4 systems. To trigger the sensor, you can use any standard magnet.
A built-in temperature and humidity sensor adds remote temperature- and humidity-sensing capabilities. This gives Control4 systems additional automation features and capabilities based on indoor or outdoor temperature events.
The ZigBee Contact Sensor functions appear in Control4 Composer projects as contact sensors that you can trigger and monitor to control events and take action throughout the Control4 system based on commands or other events.
The ZigBee Contact Sensor expands awareness of the activities and states of your Control4 home, enabling a wide variety of automation events and statuses, all easily available from the Control4 mobile apps and touch screens.
Please note: These devices are not ZigBee routing nodes. To ensure proper ZigBee network performance, Control4 light switches/dimmers or other repeating devices should be installed first, and the contact sensor devices should be identified near their final installation point.
